Towels are usually great at first, but then become rough/less absorbent with time. Waffle may not be the answer, but curious if there's a better way. Some years ago i found this kickstarter about a bath towel with a waffle weave that promises everything.
Well now that i suddenly got money for it and the ability to prioritize it i tried finding it and had happened. Ive found at least 4 different towels alle with the same design (which was the selling point) but different companies, webpages and materials. (Onsen, supima cotten.

Hi folks, I'm looking for recommendations on towel brands that are durable and good quality. I've seen the past threads recommending bath sheets; however, I can't seem to find a consistent brand that is shared. I'm hoping to purchase a complete set with bath sheets, hand towels, and face towels.
I also had waffle knit on my mind from getting some dish towels around that time so it all lined up in the Onsen towels. Im only 5'6 and in decent shape but after using bath sheets I can't fathom how bigger/taller people can stand using regular sized towels. I know this has been posted a lot (I've read through most of the posts).

I'd like some less fluffy towels that still absorb well but don't take up so much space and don't take so damned long to dry. Linen towels, Turkish towels, and waffle weave towels look promising. What y'all got? They're not the "ultra mega super plush" kind of towels (which that overly-plushness actually contributes to fiber degradation over time) but it's a cross between a waffle and a "regular" towel imo.
We've tested towels made from various materials: cotton, microfiber, bamboo, linen, and blends, but found that cotton waffle towels provide the best absorbency, comfort, and durability. Not all waffle-style towels are equal in quality, absorbency, or drying time. We found quality 100% cotton waffle bath towels that look and feel luxurious from popular brands like Parachute, IKEA and Pottery Barn.
We've researched hundreds of towels and tested dozens, and the Frontgate Resort Collection Bath Towel is the softest, warmest, and most durable towel we've found.
